Tastings

The flight is booked before they reach the door.

A cellar tasting has a length, a party, and a price. Confirm it, pour it, and keep the guest on the same record as the bottles they take.

Booked ahead. Priced like wine. The member is already known.

    On the till

The flight, the party, the person.

01

Set the flight
Cellar tasting, ninety minutes, two to eight guests, twenty-five dollars. The flight exists before anyone books it.

02

Confirm the party
Mara, four guests, eleven o’clock. Requested until the table is held. Confirmed when it is.

03

Pour, then sell
The tasting fee can sit on the till with the case. Champions are already on the booking, and on the sale.

Tastings

A tasting the estate can actually run.

01

A tasting is an experience

Name it, set the kind to tasting, and give it a duration, a minimum party, a maximum party, and a price. Bookings are taken against that flight.

02

Booked ahead

The door knows who is coming. Date, guest, and party size are on the book before the first glass is poured.

03

Requested, confirmed, cancelled

A request is not a promise. Confirm the flight when the table is ready. Cancel it when the party will not come.

04

The fee is a price

A flight has a price, so it can be charged with the wine. A member price can waive it when they take a case.

05

The member is the guest

The person who books the tasting is the person at the till. Tier, last visit, and the bottles they usually buy are on the same profile.

06

Seats you can see

A second flight can still have seats. The book shows what is confirmed and what is still open on the day.

01The flight

Decide how the estate tastes, then let people book it.

The cellar tasting and the vineyard flight are different offers. Length, party, and price keep a Saturday from turning into a queue at the door.

  • Duration and party size on the tasting.
  • A price, because the flight is something you sell.
  • No booking without a tasting that exists.

02The pour

The flight ends on the till.

When the tasting becomes a case, the sale is the cellar door. Club price, stock at this door, and the guest already named. The booking and the bottles are one visit.

  • The guest is the customer on the ticket.
  • The tasting fee and the case can be charged together.
  • What they tasted is context for what they buy.
